- 103,000 sq. ft. construction of the Amit Chakma Engineering Building on four levels, plus penthouse
- Collaborative research space
- Teaching Laboratories that offer well laid out space that encourages collaboration for hands-on experimentation and problem solving
- Three-tiered classrooms that offer key spaces for delivering Western’s Integrated Engineering curriculum
- Large fabrication space for prototyping
- Flexible meeting spaces where students can work on in-class and extracurricular group projects and practice presentations, and graduate students, faculty and industry leaders can consult on research projects
- Interior renovations to the Spencer Engineering Building and renovations to the adjacent Boundary Layer Wind Tunel Building
- Designed to LEED Platinum standards, including a state of the art M&E system and solar panels designed for cost-efficient operations of the building
