- The new Biomedical Research Facility (BMRF) for Western University and Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry will advance the school’s mission of “being a program of choice for exceptional education and learning”, this will be strengthened with the new research-intensive academic environment that will be enhanced by the design and construction of this new facility
- Although the building construction was incredibly complex requiring large attention to detail, the construction was started at the very beginning of the pandemic. Through-out construction, Norlon needed to constantly monitor the every changing lead times due to COVID shut downs as well as navigating changes due to Western University and Ontario guidelines which impacted manpower availability
- Norlon met the schedule requirements by supplementing trade manpower through a variety of options and coordinating with trades to adjust the phasing and scheduling of work depending on availability of material and manpower
